Byrd's Books Welcomes Author Jennifer Thermes on Sept. 7

Byrd's Books will host Jennifer Thermes, author of "Manhattan: Mapping the Story of an Island," for a book talk on Saturday Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. Thermes will discuss how she came to write and illustrate her book. A book signing will follow her talk.

About the author: Jennifer Thermes is a map illustrator and the author-illustrator of books for children, including Charles Darwin's Around the-World Adventure and Grandma Gatewood Hikes the Appalachian Trail. She lives in Connecticut.
