Barrett Bookstore Welcomes “The Me, Without” Author Jacqueline Raposo on March 19

Darien’s Barrett Bookstore will host The Me, Without author Jacqueline Raposo for a book talk and signing on Tuesday, March 19 at 7 p.m.

We own twice the amount of stuff we did 50 years ago, purging our spaces only to mindlessly click and fill again. Social media overuse frazzles psychologists and impedes genuine connection. In a world architected for “overwhelm,” it’s no wonder we wander exhausted and unsure. Hearing this struggle in the hundreds of humans she has interviewed—and recognizing a gnaw within herself—journalist Jacqueline Raposo challenges this lifestyle. Part memoir, part case study, The Me, Without: A Year Exploring Habit, Healing, and Happiness offers readers an inspiring example of how to help themselves heal and forge confidently out on a new path.
